Great investment advisor |
|
I have actually been living my investment life with some of the principles espoused in this book. Coming from a peasant background I did not have a lot of family history to guide me thru the financial changes we have all seen during the last 25 years. Never buy low and never sell high. Dont sell unless you are willing to sell short. This guidance has helped me make many a difficult financial decision, and has always been correct. I havent read it in 25 years and have lost my copy. Am greatly looking forward to reading it again.

Exciting and thought provoking read |
This book saved me from the drudgery of a 12 hour train journey one day. I was absolutely enthused by its storyline and the advice given on financial speculation. This book teaches you that the way traders think, the way they behave and the reasons for their behaviour are the same now as they were back at the turn of the 20th century. It is not an easy read for those not keen on investment speculation. But if you intend to speculate with your own money, you should allow Jesse Livermores lessons to sink into your subconcious. It is a book you need to read more than once to gain the most from it. I am surprised nobody has made a film based upon this book.

A Classic |
|
A great story and some useful information on trading. It cannot take the place of the technical books that take study, however. A good change of pace from the grind and it must have a place in your trading library. It was the first trading book recommended to me in 86 and still a good read!
